SocialToAI runs as a remote MCP server over Streamable HTTP at https://mcp.socialtoai.com/mcp. There is nothing to install locally: your client points at that address and authenticates with an API key. ChatGPT and Claude's apps use OAuth sign-in instead, so no key gets copied. You make the key in the console, it appears once at creation, and afterwards it lives in the SOCIALTOAI_KEY environment variable.
Six actions cover the ground: search, trending, detail, comments, user_profile and user_posts. A catalog of platform-specific interfaces is reachable through find and call. Ready-made tools handle brand mentions, comment breakdowns, account watching, creator discovery, bulk link extraction and viral content hunting. The platform list runs from TikTok, Instagram, X, Reddit and YouTube to Facebook, LinkedIn, Threads, Telegram, Pinterest, Xiaohongshu, Douyin, Weibo, WeChat Articles, Bilibili, Zhihu, Kuaishou and WeChat Channels. Meta Ad Library and Google Ads Transparency sit alongside them.
Credits are prepaid: $10 buys 3,000, $50 buys 20,000, $200 buys 100,000, and any amount between $10 and $2,000 works. Most calls cost 2 credits, the range is 1 to 24, which puts the floor at $0.002 per call. Only successful calls are charged, and a search that ran but returned nothing still counts; failures are free. Sign-up comes with 100 credits and no card, credits do not expire, and there is no subscription.
