Snappfood & SnappMarket — Claude Code MCP server
A read-only MCP server for finding food and groceries in Iran, comparing prices, and checking delivery costs. It cannot place orders.
claude mcp add --env SNAPP_MCP_PROXY=<SNAPP_MCP_PROXY> --transport stdio snappfood-snappmarket -- uvx snapp-mcpWhat Snappfood & SnappMarket does
This server gives an AI agent access to Snappfood and SnappMarket. It can search dishes and products near an address, compare the final cost with packaging and delivery, and inspect menus, reviews, minimum orders, discounts, and coupons. The package exposes 21 read-only tools.
You need uv and Python 3.10+. No API key or account is required. Prices are returned in Toman, and Persian queries match best. Most tools expect lat and long; use find_location first when the request starts with an address.
Snappfood requires an Iranian IP address. Run the server from Iran without a VPN, or set SNAPP_MCP_PROXY to an HTTP proxy whose exit point is in Iran. System proxy settings are ignored, so requests from outside Iran without that proxy receive HTTP 403.
What it helps with
- find the lowest-cost dish near an address
- compare grocery prices with delivery included
- inspect menus, reviews, and minimum orders
- filter restaurants by discounts or free delivery
Example prompts for the agent
- Find the cheapest dish near Vanak Square and include delivery in the total.
- Compare low-fat milk prices near Jordan in Tehran, including delivery.
- Show restaurants near Tajrish with free delivery and a rating of at least 4.5.
