Skool by Cotlet — Claude Code MCP server: setup and tools
Self-hosted MCP server bridging Claude Code with Skool communities via local Chrome session cookies. Controls members, posts, classroom, and chats.
claude mcp add --transport http skool https://cotlet.dev/mcp/v1/skool/connectWhat Skool by Cotlet does
Skool does not offer a public API. This server talks directly to Skool web endpoints using curl_cffi to match browser TLS fingerprints. It exposes 69 tools covering posts, comments, membership requests, polls, Classroom material, Calendar events, and direct messages without running a headless browser.
Authentication relies on your active browser session. Running skool-mcp connect copies skool.com cookies through Chrome DevTools Protocol into ~/.config/skool-api-mcp/session.json. The package also provides an optional local REST API running on port 8787 with OpenAPI docs.
Requirements include Python 3.11 or newer and Google Chrome version 144+. PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0 restricts self-hosted instances to noncommercial tasks. Group settings and statistics remain inaccessible unless your account holds administrator privileges in the target community.
What it helps with
- retrieve member lists and inspect pending group requests
- publish community posts, polls, and comment replies
- read and update Skool Classroom courses and events
- monitor community statistics and member chats
Example prompts for the agent
- List all pending membership requests for my Skool community.
- Find recent comments on the latest group announcement.
- Check upcoming events in the Skool community calendar.
