Singapore MCP by Olano — Claude Code MCP server: Singapore data
An MCP server that feeds Singapore open data to your AI client: housing, transport, rail, companies, weather and the economy. Useful when the agent answers questions about the city.
claude mcp add --env DATA_GOV_SG_API_KEY=<DATA_GOV_SG_API_KEY> --env ONEMAP_TOKEN=<ONEMAP_TOKEN> --env LTA_DATAMALL_API_KEY=<LTA_DATAMALL_API_KEY> --env OLANO_SG_CACHE_DIR=<OLANO_SG_CACHE_DIR> --env OLANO_SG_PROFILE=<OLANO_SG_PROFILE> --transport stdio singapore-mcp-by-olano -- npx -y @olano/mcp-singaporeWhat Singapore MCP by Olano does
The server bridges an AI client and Singapore's official sources: data.gov.sg, OneMap, LTA DataMall and SingStat. Answers carry the source agency, dataset identifier, observation period and units, so you can trace where a number came from. Most tools need no API key.
Under the hood sits the aggregate server @olano/mcp-singapore plus focused packages per source: @olano/mcp-datagov, @olano/mcp-onemap, @olano/mcp-lta, @olano/mcp-weather, @olano/mcp-rail-sg, @olano/mcp-finance-sg, @olano/mcp-analytics and more. A terminal utility, @olano/sg-cli, ships alongside. OneMap and LTA each require their own token; the data.gov.sg key is optional. Everything runs through npx, so Node.js 20 or newer has to be on the machine.
This is an independent community project, not a product of the Singapore Government and not endorsed by it. MIT licence.
What it helps with
- check median HDB resale prices in a given town
- compare price per square metre across two towns
- pull bus arrival and route data from LTA feeds
- verify a company's UEN and entity status in ACRA records
- assemble a district brief with OneMap location context
Example prompts for the agent
- Find the official ACRA records matching
Olanoand show the UEN and entity status - Find HDB carparks with
Bishanin the address and group them by carpark type

Questions about Singapore MCP by Olano
How do I install Singapore MCP by Olano in Claude Code?
Run `claude mcp add mcp-singapore -e DATA_GOV_SG_API_KEY=<DATA_GOV_SG_API_KEY> -e ONEMAP_TOKEN=<ONEMAP_TOKEN> -e LTA_DATAMALL_API_KEY=<LTA_DATAMALL_API_KEY> -- npx -y @olano/mcp-singapore`, replacing the placeholders with your own values.
What does Singapore MCP by Olano do?
It gives an agent access to Singapore open data: housing, rail and buses, companies, weather and the economy. Each answer keeps its source and observation period.
Do I need API keys for it to work?
OneMap needs a token and LTA DataMall needs an Account Key. The data.gov.sg key is optional, and some tools run without any credentials at all.
