Signs of AI Writing — Claude Code MCP server: text checks
Checks writing for AI-associated patterns and compares documents for shared passages. Useful when reviewing drafts or checking originality.
Open on GitHubWhat Signs of AI Writing does
Signs of AI Writing highlights patterns such as repeated vocabulary, rhetorical habits, and uniform sentence rhythm, then suggests a revision for each finding. Its originality checker compares documents for shared passages, including paraphrases across languages. The results are evidence for a person to assess, not an automated verdict.
The MCP server is available as the SignsOfAI.Mcp package. The wider toolkit supports English and Spanish analysis. Its main checks run locally in the browser, while optional paraphrase checking and perplexity measurement can send text to a server when enabled. Perplexity measurement runs locally in the desktop app. Check those settings before enabling features that transmit text.
