Signadot MCP Server — Claude Code MCP server
Bridges coding agents with the Signadot platform to control temporary sandboxes and forward cluster requests to local processes.
Open on GitHubWhat Signadot MCP Server does
The server builds upon the Signadot CLI codebase, which relies on libconnect and the official signadot/go-sdk. It equips AI assistants to inspect testing setups inside Kubernetes, eliminating the need to duplicate entire shared clusters.
Setup runs through the official script: curl -sSLf https://raw.githubusercontent.com/signadot/cli/main/scripts/install.sh | sh. By default, the installer places the binary at /usr/local/bin/signadot. You can customize the target location with SIGNADOT_CLI_PATH or pick a release tag via SIGNADOT_CLI_VERSION.
Compiling from source on the main branch will break because recent commits depend on an internal private repository. If you plan to build locally with go build ./cmd/signadot, check out a tagged release commit and verify you run Go 1.27.1 or newer.
What it helps with
- forward cluster calls directly to a local development port
- provision lightweight preview sandboxes without duplicating resources
- inspect Signadot sandbox status from the agent workspace
Example prompts for the agent
- Spin up a Signadot preview sandbox for my current branch
- Route incoming cluster calls for the billing service to
localhost:3000 - List active Signadot sandboxes and inspect their status

Questions about Signadot MCP Server
What does Signadot MCP Server do?
It lets AI assistants interact with Signadot to operate on-demand Kubernetes sandboxes and redirect cluster network requests down to your machine.
How to install Signadot MCP Server in Claude Code?
Download the CLI binary by executing curl -sSLf https://raw.githubusercontent.com/signadot/cli/main/scripts/install.sh | sh. The script installs the executable into /usr/local/bin/signadot.
Can you compile the CLI directly from the main branch?
No, building from main fails due to an external private repository dependency. Fetch an official tagged release and use Go 1.27.1 or higher instead.
