Shilpi for WordPress — Claude Code MCP server: features and setup
This MCP server lets an agent edit a Shilpi-powered WordPress site, from page content and design settings to SEO fields.
Open on GitHubWhat Shilpi for WordPress does
Use the tools to read and update pages, posts, templates, navigation, global styles, and SEO fields. They can also bring in a static HTML file or a directory of site assets, and manage media, fonts, scripts, and project files. The server runs on the WordPress site itself.
A working setup needs WordPress 6.4 or later, PHP 8.0 or later, and an active Shilpi theme with a valid licence. OAuth also needs HTTPS. The tools do not expose the filesystem, SSH, wp-config.php, or theme and plugin files. PHP snippet writing requires a separate permission from the site owner; uploading JavaScript requires unfiltered_html.
An active licence is required for the MCP endpoints to respond, so check that before configuring a client. WooCommerce Kit adds tools when enabled, but those tools do not expose customer, order, address, or payment data.
