ServerSearcher — Claude Code MCP server: find server plans by price
A public MCP server for finding and comparing dedicated, VPS, GPU and cloud plans by specs, location and price. Handy when you want to pick a plan from inside your agent.
claude mcp add --transport http serversearcher-mcp https://www.serversearcher.com/api/mcpWhat ServerSearcher does
ServerSearcher plugs into your agent as a remote MCP server and exposes three tools. search_servers queries the plan catalogue by type (dedicated, virtual, cloud, gpu), minimum RAM, CPU, disk and bandwidth, GPU model and count, a price ceiling, currency and location — an ISO country code, a COUNTRY-city string or a city id. Provider capabilities such as Terraform support can narrow the results too. get_provider_info returns a provider profile from its slug, and compare_providers puts two providers side by side.
Transport is Streamable HTTP over JSON-RPC 2.0, with requests sent as POST. The endpoint lives at https://www.serversearcher.com/api/mcp, and https://www.serversearcher.com/mcp works as an alias. No auth, no API key. The protocol version is MCP 2024-11-05, and discovery is available at /.well-known/mcp.json.
Requests are rate-limited: a burst comes back as 429 with a Retry-After header. Worth knowing if your agent fires many calls in a row — waiting out Retry-After keeps you from getting empty answers. MIT licensed.
What it helps with
- find a dedicated server within a RAM target and a price ceiling
- compare two providers by specs and locations
- locate a GPU plan with a specific card model and count
- filter providers by Terraform support
- pull a provider profile and its locations from a slug
Example prompts for the agent
- Compare
hetzner-cloudwith another provider by locations and plan counts - Show GPU plans with two cards, cheapest first
