SAP MCP Server — Claude Code MCP server: Solana and agent payments
An MCP server that gives your agent typed tools for Solana and the SAP protocol, over local stdio or remote Streamable HTTP. Useful when the agent has to read chain data and pay for calls.
claude mcp add --transport http sap-mcp https://mcp.sap.oobeprotocol.ai/mcpWhat SAP MCP Server does
SAP MCP Server publishes one typed tool registry through two launch modes: a local stdio process and a remote Streamable HTTP endpoint at /mcp. Hosted agents point at https://mcp.sap.oobeprotocol.ai/mcp, while transaction signing stays in the user's hands.
A setup wizard manages profiles under ~/.config/mcp-sap. There are local and external signing modes, optional Bento policy, x402 monetization, and generation of a pay.sh provider config. Paid and write calls need the separate local sap_payments bridge; without it those tools will not go through. The agent wallet lives in ~/.config/mcp-sap/keypairs/, and the wizard leaves the Solana CLI keypair alone.
Building from source means pnpm only: Node.js 22.12.0 or newer plus pnpm 11.7.0. npm install is not the path here, the repository is locked to pnpm. Read-only remote discovery works without a local signer.
What it helps with
- wire an agent into Solana over MCP
- split read-only calls from paid ones across two servers
- set up an agent wallet profile without touching the Solana CLI keypair
- charge for tool calls through x402
- run a remote MCP endpoint for hosted agents
Example prompts for the agent
- Start SAP MCP.
- Show the active profile and run
npx sap-mcp-config doctoron it. - Create a new profile with
npx sap-mcp-config wizard.

Questions about SAP MCP Server
How do I install SAP MCP Server in Claude Code?
For the remote endpoint run claude mcp add --transport http sap-mcp https://mcp.sap.oobeprotocol.ai/mcp. For local stdio run `claude mcp add --env SAP_MCP_ALLOW_ENV_CONFIG_OVERRIDE=<SAP_MCP_ALLOW_ENV_CONFIG_OVERRIDE> --env SAP_LOG_LEVEL=<SAP_LOG_LEVEL> --transport stdio sap-mcp-server -- npx -y @oobe-protocol-labs/sap-mcp-server`.
What does SAP MCP Server do?
It hands the agent a typed tool set for Solana and the SAP protocol, either locally or over remote HTTP. Paid and write calls are routed through the local sap_payments bridge.
What do I need for paid calls?
Run the setup wizard first and keep a dedicated wallet in ~/.config/mcp-sap/keypairs/ or behind an external signer. x402 payment and write operations will not work without the local sap_payments bridge.
