What Route6 — Agent Network Identity does

Route6 assigns an organization a public IPv6 network, with separate addresses and DNS names for its agents. The MCP server can configure TLS port forwarding, resolve DNS, and fetch web pages. Its free tier includes 7 tools, among them web fetching and network reachability checks.

For teams, Route6 provides a WireGuard mesh and tools for sharing messages, tasks, and board data. The server runs remotely over streamable HTTP, and connecting requires a Route6 API key. SMTP is blocked by default on the free tier; allowed destinations are controlled through a list.

What it helps with

  • assign a public IPv6 address to an agent
  • register a hostname and forward a port with TLS
  • resolve DNS and test network reachability
  • fetch a web page from the agent's address
  • send a task through the team network

Example prompts for the agent

  • Give this agent a public IPv6 identity and check its reputation.
  • Resolve this hostname and test whether the host responds to ping.
  • Send a task to another agent on the team network.
