revolut-mcp — Claude Code MCP server: what it does, how to install
Connects AI assistants to the Revolut Business API to inspect balances, view transfers, and initiate payments. Useful for tracking company finances right inside your IDE.
claude mcp add --env REVOLUT_CLIENT_ID=<REVOLUT_CLIENT_ID> --env REVOLUT_PRIVATE_KEY_PATH=<REVOLUT_PRIVATE_KEY_PATH> --env REVOLUT_PRIVATE_KEY=<REVOLUT_PRIVATE_KEY> --env REVOLUT_REDIRECT_URI=<REVOLUT_REDIRECT_URI> --env REVOLUT_JWT_ISS=<REVOLUT_JWT_ISS> --transport stdio revolut-mcp -- npx -y @jeff-nasseri/revolut-mcpWhat revolut-mcp does
This server hooks your coding environment into Revolut Business accounts via the Model Context Protocol. It exposes 21 distinct tools grouped into eight functional areas. Through simple requests, an assistant can fetch balance figures across currencies, pull recent ledger transactions, search counterparties, and check current FX rates.
Support is strictly confined to Revolut Business. Personal consumer accounts, crypto trading through RevolutX, and the Merchant API will not work. The runtime connects to the sandbox by default; switching to a live business profile requires setting REVOLUT_ENVIRONMENT=production alongside a valid production certificate.
Authentication relies on a client ID and private key credentials. Without properly generated OAuth tokens or signing certificates, the server cannot establish a session with the API.
What it helps with
- inspect corporate multi-currency balances
- pull ledger entries and transaction history
- check current FX exchange rates before sending funds
- create outward payments to registered counterparties
Example prompts for the agent
- Check the current balance across all our company accounts in Revolut
- List the last five transactions from counterparty Acme Corp
- What is the live exchange rate for converting EUR to USD?
