The npm package @shuotao/revit-mcp-server provides the Node.js bridge; it does not replace the Revit add-in. Build and deploy the add-in separately, then enable the MCP service in Revit. The listed requirements are Windows 10 or later and Autodesk Revit 2022–2026. Revit 2022–2024 uses .NET Framework 4.8, while Revit 2025–2026 uses .NET 8. Without the add-in, the npm package cannot carry out actions in Revit.
