prospeo-mcp-server — Claude Code MCP server
Hooks your agent up to the Prospeo database: search people and companies, pull work emails and mobile numbers. Handy when you need a contact list without leaving the chat.
claude mcp add --transport http prospeo-mcp-server https://mcp.prospeo.ioWhat prospeo-mcp-server does
The server talks to Prospeo and exposes a set of tools. search_suggestions resolves canonical filter values, search_person and search_company query the database, enrich_person and enrich_company return email, phone and a company profile, while bulk_enrich_person and bulk_enrich_company handle up to 25 records per call. get_account_info reports remaining credits and plan.
Two ways to run it. The hosted option points at https://mcp.prospeo.io, with OAuth or an API key in the X-KEY header. The local one runs through npx and needs Node.js 18+ plus a PROSPEO_API_KEY variable. On startup the server fetches its tool table from the backend; if that fetch fails, eight compatibility tools load instead, and a restart of the MCP process is needed once a new catalog ships.
Credits apply to enrichment: one per matched email, ten for email plus mobile. search_suggestions and get_account_info cost nothing. Call search_suggestions before filtering by location or job title — a guessed string like “SF” instead of “San Francisco, California, United States” returns an empty search.
What it helps with
- find a work email from a LinkedIn profile URL
- build a company list by industry and headcount
- enrich 25 contacts in one call
- pull a company profile with revenue, tech stack and funding
- check remaining credits before running enrichment
Example prompts for the agent
- Search Prospeo for Head of Sales people in Berlin and show their emails
- Enrich these 20 contacts: get work email and mobile number
- Build a company profile for example.com: headcount, industry, tech stack
