NameSniper — Claude Code MCP server: what it does, how to install
Checks handle and domain availability, screens brand names against USPTO trademarks, and watches taken usernames until they drop.
claude mcp add --transport http namesniper https://namesniper.pro/mcpWhat NameSniper does
This integration lets your coding agent inspect handles, web domains, and existing trademark registrations. It queries registries across TLDs and profiles on networks like GitHub or Bluesky. On top of standard lookups, it reads TON ledger data for past Telegram handle sales and measures Roblox name rarity.
Standard checks function without credentials. Advanced actions like automated generation, trademark clearance, and continuous monitoring need an API token in NAMESNIPER_API_KEY. Tracking usernames on Instagram, TikTok, or X will fail without a paid tier.
You can mount the server via remote HTTP at https://namesniper.pro/mcp or through the local bridge npx -y namesniper-mcp. Running the binary locally requires Node.js 22 or newer.
What it helps with
- verify handle availability on social networks and domain registries
- track a taken username until it drops
- screen brand names against USPTO trademark records
- check historical Telegram username sale prices via TON
Example prompts for the agent
- Check if myproject is taken on GitHub and Bluesky with
namesniper_check_social - Track the handle devpilot using
namesniper_watch - Inspect past Telegram username auction prices using
namesniper_telegram_price
