periscope-mcp — Claude Code MCP server: testing
It gives AI agents Playwright tools for web-app QA, from auth and forms to accessibility, SEO, GEO, and Lighthouse checks.
Open on GitHubWhat periscope-mcp does
periscope-mcp connects an MCP client to Playwright and headless Chrome. It can create projects, keep browser sessions, crawl pages, run user flows, inspect forms, save state snapshots, and compare visual results. Responses come back as structured JSON, with screenshots and videos available for analysis.
The server covers accessibility, SEO, GEO, Lighthouse, Web Vitals, link checks, and visual defects. Agents can inspect console and network logs, capture API response bodies, mock requests, emulate devices, and reuse authenticated sessions. A visible browser login handles 2FA, SSO, or CAPTCHA before later checks continue headlessly.
It uses stdio and can be connected to Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf (Devin Desktop), Cline, or Zed. The setup therefore needs an environment where headless Chrome can run.
What it helps with
- verify a logged-in user flow
- test forms and report field failures
- crawl a site and produce an audit
- check accessibility, SEO, and GEO
- compare page screenshots across runs
Example prompts for the agent
- Test this web app with Playwright, complete the main login flow, and report every failure.
- Crawl the project and audit its accessibility, SEO, and GEO readiness, then return a structured report.
- Open the signup form, fill it with test data, and identify fields that do not validate.
