patreon-mcp-server — Claude Code MCP server: setup and features
Connects your AI client to Patreon creator metrics, tiers, and posts. Useful for tracking memberships and pledges directly in your coding environment.
claude mcp add patreon-mcp-server -e PATREON_ACCESS_TOKEN=<PATREON_ACCESS_TOKEN> -- uvx patreon-mcp-serverWhat patreon-mcp-server does
This server bridges an AI client with creator accounts on Patreon. Under the hood, it uses FastMCP alongside Pydantic models to parse incoming JSON:API structures. It provides six specific tools to read profile details, list active campaigns, pull posts (twenty items per page), and paginate through members (one hundred per page).
Member privacy is a deliberate design choice. The tools never query patron email addresses or private creator notes. Operation is strictly read-only, which means your assistant cannot publish posts, edit pledge tiers, or message patrons.
Running the code requires Python 3.11+ and the uv tool. Before launching, create an access token inside the Patreon developer portal and export it via the PATREON_ACCESS_TOKEN environment variable.
What it helps with
- identify patrons with declined subscription charges
- break down active subscriber counts across membership tiers
- review recent campaign posts and publication timestamps
- rank top supporters by their lifetime contribution total
Example prompts for the agent
- "Which patrons currently have failed or declining payments?"
- "Break down the member count across each campaign tier."
- "Show the top supporters ranked by lifetime support amount."
