mcp-server · pagerankcafe — Claude Code MCP server: what it does, how to install
This MCP server connects an AI agent to PageRankCafe for ad publishing and performance checks. Paid membership is needed for write and insight tools.
claude mcp add --env PAGERANKCAFE_API_KEY=<PAGERANKCAFE_API_KEY> --env PAGERANKCAFE_BASE_URL=<PAGERANKCAFE_BASE_URL> --transport stdio pagerankcafe-mcp-server -- npx -y pagerankcafe-mcpWhat mcp-server does
mcp-server exposes PageRankCafe tools to an AI agent. It can check API health, list active link, banner, YouTube, and press-release ads, read credit and referral balances, and return performance for each placement. The server also supports creating and editing ad content.
The available actions include image upload, posting existing ads into rotation, and platform-wide performance summaries covering the trailing 30 days. Read operations work with a valid key on a free account; publishing and get_platform_insights require Bronze, Silver, or Gold membership.
Set PAGERANKCAFE_API_KEY to the key generated in PageRankCafe before connecting the server. Without that variable, the process exits with an error at startup. API failures surface as MCP tool errors, and the server does not retry failed calls or apply silent fallbacks.
What it helps with
- check credits and available posting slots
- read performance for ad placements
- create a link, banner, or press release
- publish an existing ad into rotation
- query platform-wide advertising insights
Example prompts for the agent
- Check my PageRankCafe connection and show the current membership status.
- List performance for my link and banner placements.
- Create a press release and post it to the home-page widget using credits.
