mcp · opentweetio — Claude Code MCP server for social posts and setup
Connect an AI agent to OpenTweet to publish on X, Bluesky, and LinkedIn. Useful for drafting posts, scheduling them, and checking performance from a chat.
claude mcp add mcp -e OPENTWEET_API_KEY=<OPENTWEET_API_KEY> -- npx -y @opentweet/mcp-serverWhat mcp does
The server gives an agent tools for posts and threads, scheduled publishing, an evergreen queue, and analytics. It also supports CSV imports and cross-posting. A LinkedIn thread is published as one post.
Local setup uses npx and an OpenTweet API key with the ot_ prefix. Connect an X account in the OpenTweet dashboard, then add the server to Claude Code. The key is required for the local server to access the account. Check list_platforms before publishing without an explicit platform list: the account’s cross-post setting can send that post to every connected network.
What it helps with
- turn an article into a thread and schedule it
- publish one post to X, Bluesky, and LinkedIn
- schedule posts imported from a CSV file
- find posts with the strongest engagement
- add a successful post to the evergreen queue
Example prompts for the agent
- Turn this article into a thread and schedule it for tomorrow.
- Write a TypeScript post and publish it to X and LinkedIn.
- Show my top posts and add the best one to the evergreen queue.
