xpost — Claude Code MCP server: what it does, how to install
Lets AI assistants publish updates across nine social networks with an optional human approval step before anything goes live.
claude mcp add --transport http xpost https://xpost.to/api/mcpWhat xpost does
The integration connects coding agents to the hosted endpoint at https://xpost.to/api/mcp. It routes outbound updates to nine destinations: X, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky, and Pinterest.
The assistant starts by running list_accounts to inspect active channels and their supported payloads. It then verifies formatting against get_posting_rules before generating any update. When a workspace operates under review mode, the submission pauses in a pending_approval state until reviewed manually. Delivery receipts confirm success or pinpoint errors per platform.
You must register an account on xpost.to beforehand. Authentication redirects to a browser login window, so unauthenticated tool requests will fail immediately.
What it helps with
- publish release announcements across X, Bluesky, and Threads
- submit social updates into a human review queue
- inspect channel rules and media constraints before posting
- track per-channel delivery receipts for published updates
Example prompts for the agent
- Check connected social accounts using xpost
- Draft and send a release update to X and Bluesky
- Submit an announcement draft for LinkedIn with approval mode enabled
