OpenPost is an open-source take on Buffer, Canva and CapCut: one app for writing posts, building images and carousels, cutting video and scheduling content. Self-host it or use OpenPost Hosted. The MCP server wires that into your agent, which can create drafts, schedule posts and check how they went out.
The server speaks HTTP at https://app.openpo.st/mcp. OpenPost also ships an API, SDK, CLI and MCP, so scripts, agents and n8n workflows can drive the same actions. The TypeScript SDK and CLI install from npm. Publishing runs through connected accounts, and each provider keeps its own capabilities and limits.
Workflows are built on a visual canvas: connect steps, add AI or conditions, and feed them GitHub releases, RSS feeds or scheduled prompts. Custom data goes through HTTP requests and JavaScript. You review posts before scheduling, and every run can be inspected step by step.
