openaffiliate-mcp — Claude Code MCP server: find affiliate programs
Gives your agent access to a registry of affiliate programs: commission rates, cookie duration, payout terms. Useful when picking a program for a project.
claude mcp add --transport http openaffiliate-mcp https://openaffiliate.dev/api/mcpWhat openaffiliate-mcp does
The server exposes five tools. Three are read-only: search_programs queries the registry, get_program returns a program card along with its OAS score, and list_categories lists the categories. The other two, submit_program and get_submission_status, queue a missing program for verification. Nothing gets listed instantly.
Connect over HTTP at https://openaffiliate.dev/api/mcp. No API key required. The same endpoint also answers at https://openaffiliate.dev/mcp for remote clients such as Claude.ai and ChatGPT. If you want a local copy or a pinned version, use the stdio transport with npx -y openaffiliate-mcp.
Check what the agent actually got back: get_program returns an OAS score only for programs that have one. For the rest the score field is absent, and that is not a server error.
What it helps with
- find affiliate programs with recurring payouts
- compare commission rates and cookie windows across programs
- check how a program publishes its terms for affiliates
- queue a missing program for verification
- pull the registry's category list for filtering
Example prompts for the agent
- Find recurring affiliate programs for databases
- Show me the stripe program card with its OAS score
- What categories does the OpenAffiliate registry have?

What does openaffiliate-mcp do?
It connects your agent to a registry of affiliate programs. The agent can search programs by category and commission type, read a card with terms and the OAS score, and queue a new program for verification.
Do I need an API key?
No, the public HTTP endpoint is open. The submit_program tool only queues a program; nothing is published right away.
