Oh My Android — Claude Code MCP server: what it does
A Mac app that bundles an MCP server: your agent in Claude Code screenshots the Android emulator, taps, measures in dp and flips dark mode or RTL.
Open on GitHubWhat Oh My Android does
Oh My Android is a SwiftUI app for Mac that parks an ADB control panel beside the emulator window, and it also works against a real phone. The MCP server inside it exposes 18 tools, so an agent in Claude Code can grab a screenshot, read view sizes in dp, send a tap, or switch dark mode, font scale and RTL while it works. Logcat comes from the same place.
The states you rarely set by hand are the ones it speeds up: pseudo-locales, bold text, TalkBack, Arabic RTL. Its inspector measures gaps in dp for Compose and Views, and the ⇧⌘A audit numbers TalkBack stops and marks controls with no label or a touch target under 48 dp.
Install it with brew install --cask ateymoori/tap/oh-my-android. It asks for macOS 26 Tahoe or newer, Apple silicon, and an Android SDK from Android Studio or brew install --cask android-commandlinetools. An Intel Mac or a Windows machine will not run it, and with no SDK on the box the agent gets a server with no devices behind it.
What it helps with
- check a screen in Arabic RTL without a rebuild
- catch a view whose gaps drift from the design
- run a TalkBack audit and find unlabelled controls
- drag an APK onto the panel to install it
- screenshot the emulator mid-run and copy it
Example prompts for the agent
- Take a screenshot of the emulator and show me the login screen in dark mode.
- Switch the locale to Arabic RTL, then tap through to the settings screen and tell me what breaks.
- Walk the profile screen and list every element under 48 dp.

Questions about Oh My Android
How do I install Oh My Android in Claude Code?
The MCP server ships with the Mac app, so install the app first with brew install --cask ateymoori/tap/oh-my-android, then turn the server on inside it.
What does Oh My Android do?
It gives you a panel of nearly 50 actions for an emulator or a phone, plus an MCP server with 18 tools so an agent can see the screen and drive it: screenshots, taps, dp measurements, dark mode, RTL, TalkBack.
Does Android Studio have to be running?
No. The panel works with Studio closed and with a physical phone instead of an emulator; all it needs is the Android SDK, and an unusual SDK path is picked in the app's settings.
