nyc-property-intel — Claude Code MCP server: how to install
An MCP server connecting AI models to over 20 public property databases across New York City. It checks building violations, tenant complaints, and ownership records.
claude mcp add --transport http nyc-property-intel https://nyc-property-intel-production.up.railway.app/mcpWhat nyc-property-intel does
The server acts as an investigation assistant for NYC real estate due diligence. Instead of manually searching municipal portals, the model pulls records on building codes, tax assessments, zoning limits, and marshal-executed evictions since 2017. Tools expose deed transfers through ACRIS back to 2003, FDNY emergency dispatches since 2013, and 311 tenant logs.
It does not estimate property value. The server strictly surfaces factual records from public registries without calculating valuations. Running your own instance demands Python 3.12+, PostgreSQL 16+, uv, and the nycdb package. Alternatively, you can connect directly to the hosted HTTP endpoint.
What it helps with
- retrieve open DOB and HPD housing violations for an address
- review deed transfers and property sales recorded since 2003
- inspect municipal marshal eviction logs and tenant court cases
- track rent-stabilized apartment counts over time
Example prompts for the agent
- Run a full due diligence check on 123 Atlantic Ave, Brooklyn
- Look up any open HPD code violations for 350 5th Ave, Manhattan
- Check mortgage filings and tax lien records for this building
