Numbers Online — phone intelligence: Claude Code MCP server
Hosted MCP server that delivers phone intelligence for voice AI agents. Checks line types and spam risk before an agent dials.
claude mcp add --transport http numbers-online https://numbers.online/api/v1/mcpWhat Numbers Online — phone intelligence does
The server operates remotely over Streamable HTTP at https://numbers.online/api/v1/mcp. Nothing runs locally. Tool discovery works publicly, but executing actual lookups requires a Bearer token with the mcp scope. Raw phone numbers are never stored in plain text; the system stores only their SHA-256 hashes.
Four read-only tools are exposed: phone_lookup, caller_risk, line_type, and dnc_check. Deterministic line checks and first-party suppression lookups are free, while deep risk analysis is metered per call. Every billable response can return an Ed25519 signed receipt to verify when the check took place.
The do-not-contact signal reflects verified requests registered directly by number owners, not official government registries. Output data is advisory, so the calling agent keeps full ownership of dialing logic and regulatory compliance.
What it helps with
- verify line type and carrier before spending agent minutes
- inspect caller reputation and STIR/SHAKEN status on inbound calls
- query internal owner-submitted do-not-contact preferences
- obtain signed Ed25519 receipts without exposing raw phone numbers
Example prompts for the agent
- Check line type and carrier for
+14155552671usingline_type. - Run
caller_riskon inbound number+14155552671to assess spam likelihood. - Perform a full
phone_lookupon+14155552671before placing the outbound call.
