MIND — Claude Code MCP server: features and setup
MIND connects an agent to a knowledge graph and provides tools for memory, tasks, CRM, and finance. Use it when you want the agent to retain context across sessions.
claude mcp add --env MIND_API_KEY=<MIND_API_KEY> --env MIND_BASE_URL=<MIND_BASE_URL> --transport stdio mind -- npx -y @astramindapp/mcp-serverWhat MIND does
MIND gives an agent access to a knowledge graph. It can search and save records, retrieve preferences and recent activity, and work with goals, projects, calendars, and contacts. The server includes 44 tools, with dedicated groups for MoneyMIND, budgeting, spreadsheets, email, and e-signatures.
Other capabilities include research jobs, scheduled automations, and notifications. Some tools are restricted to administrators; social posts, outgoing email, and signature requests trigger actions outside the agent. Claude Code setup requires MIND_API_KEY. An alternate setup command also accepts MIND_BASE_URL; authenticated features depend on a valid API key.
What it helps with
- retain useful context between agent sessions
- search a knowledge graph for saved information
- track contacts and interaction history
- manage goals, projects, and tasks
- organize budgets and financial activity
Example prompts for the agent
- Save the key points from this session to MIND so I can retrieve them later.
- Search my MIND knowledge graph for notes about the project launch and summarize what you find.
- Show my CRM contacts and their recent interaction history.
