mfukushim-map-traveler-mcp — Claude Code MCP server: overview
Directs a virtual avatar across Google Maps coordinates, produces composite Street View images, and shares updates to Bluesky.
claude mcp add --transport http mfukushim-map-traveler-mcp https://server.smithery.ai/@mfukushim/map-traveler-mcp/mcpWhat mfukushim-map-traveler-mcp does
This server exposes tools for an AI agent to guide a traveler across real-world locations. The model inspects coordinates. It tracks progress along chosen routes and checks nearby facilities using Google Maps data.
Image synthesis relies on Google Street View photos combined with Gemini 2.5 Flash semantic masking. It inserts the character into the scene without separate background removal steps. By default, the generator creates anime-styled female characters to avoid misleading outputs. Built-in tools also handle reading feeds and posting updates to Bluesky.
Running the toolset locally requires MT_GOOGLE_MAP_KEY and MT_GEMINI_IMAGE_KEY. Location lookups fail without them, and external API requests consume provider usage limits.
What it helps with
- guide an avatar between destinations on Google Maps
- compose traveler visuals onto Google Street View backgrounds
- publish status updates and interact with mentions on Bluesky
- build narrative journey games using real-world map coordinates
Example prompts for the agent
- Where is the traveler located right now, and what facilities are nearby?
- Head toward Tokyo Station and take a Street View photo.
- Post a brief travel update to Bluesky and check for recent mentions.
