MegaLens — Claude Code MCP server: multi-model code review
MegaLens sends your code to a panel of models from different companies and reports where they agree and where they don't. The first review is free, no card.
claude mcp add --transport http megalens https://megalens.ai/api/mcpWhat MegaLens does
The server plugs into the tool you already use and hands your code to several models from different companies. Free picks two reviewers; up to four can take part. Each model reads the code on its own, then a final pass compares their findings, and you get back the points of agreement and the points of disagreement. Every result names the models that actually reviewed.
Send your own assessment along with the request and the answer also lists what the panel caught that you missed. MegaLens reports only — it never edits your code, so your own tool still decides what happens next. The panel stays the same no matter which tool calls it.
Easiest path is the wizard: npx megalens-mcp setup asks for your token, detects the tools you have installed and writes each config. Grab the token from the MCP settings page on megalens.ai. The wizard never asks for an OpenRouter key; to run on your own key you add the x-megalens-openrouter-key header by hand, and that key needs credit on it, since OpenRouter bills you directly. Skip the key and you fall back to prepaid credits. Node.js 18+ is required for the wizard only — manual setup needs nothing. Configs differ per tool: Cursor rejects a type field, Gemini CLI wants httpUrl rather than url, Codex reads TOML, and Copilot expects the top-level key servers instead of mcpServers, so a config written for another tool won't be picked up.
What it helps with
- get a code review from several models at once
- see exactly where the models disagree
- compare your own read of the code against the panel's findings
- wire review into the tool you already work in
- test token connectivity before the first run
Example prompts for the agent
- Run my last commit through MegaLens and show where the models disagreed
- Send
src/api/handler.tsto MegaLens for review along with my own notes - Ask MegaLens what the panel found in this diff that I missed
