mcp-nequi — Claude Code MCP server: payments and setup
Connects an AI agent to Nequi for push payments, QR payments, subscriptions, and merchant operations. It requires Nequi credentials.
claude mcp add mcp-nequi -e NEQUI_API_KEY=<NEQUI_API_KEY> -e NEQUI_CLIENT_ID=<NEQUI_CLIENT_ID> -e NEQUI_CLIENT_SECRET=<NEQUI_CLIENT_SECRET> -- npx -y @codespar/mcp-nequiWhat mcp-nequi does
mcp-nequi exposes Nequi actions to an AI agent, including push and QR payments, subscription lookup and cancellation, transaction reversals, phone validation, and scheduled payments. It also covers merchant balance, transaction history, business details, and settlement queries.
The server runs through npx over stdio, with an HTTP option available through --http. Authentication uses the OAuth2 client credentials flow. Set NEQUI_API_KEY, NEQUI_CLIENT_ID, and NEQUI_CLIENT_SECRET before launch; NEQUI_ENV selects sandbox or production.
This is an alpha release, and its endpoint paths have not been fully live-validated. Check the API behavior in the Nequi environment before using it for real payment flows. The package is @codespar/mcp-nequi.
What it helps with
- send a push payment to a Nequi user
- generate a QR code for checkout
- check or reverse a payment
- inspect merchant balance and transactions
- schedule a future push payment
Example prompts for the agent
- Check the current status of this Nequi payment and explain the result.
- Create a reusable Nequi QR code for this merchant.
- Verify whether this phone number is enrolled in Nequi.
