mcp-amazon — Claude Code MCP server: what it does, how to install
Connects coding agents to Amazon Selling Partner API. Enables querying store orders, managing inventory, and updating product listings.
claude mcp add --env AMAZON_LWA_CLIENT_ID=<AMAZON_LWA_CLIENT_ID> --env AMAZON_LWA_CLIENT_SECRET=<AMAZON_LWA_CLIENT_SECRET> --env AMAZON_REFRESH_TOKEN=<AMAZON_REFRESH_TOKEN> --env AMAZON_MARKETPLACE_ID=<AMAZON_MARKETPLACE_ID> --env AMAZON_REGION=<AMAZON_REGION> --transport stdio amazon -- npx -y @codespar/mcp-amazonWhat mcp-amazon does
This server exposes 24 tools for interacting with Amazon SP-API endpoints. It handles seller catalog lookups, listing changes via SKU patches, FBA stock summaries, and order shipment confirmations. Agents can also fetch fee calculations for an ASIN before posting price updates.
Authentication relies on Login with Amazon tokens. The runtime caches temporary credentials in memory after refreshing your long-lived token. Accounts still bound to legacy AWS SigV4 request signatures must supply their own signing wrapper, as this integration supports LWA headers alone.
What it helps with
- fetch customer order records and line items
- update catalog listings by seller SKU
- inspect FBA fulfillable and inbound inventory
- calculate estimated referral and fulfillment fees for an ASIN
Example prompts for the agent
- List recent orders and show line items for the first one
- Estimate referral and FBA fees for ASIN B08N5WRWNW at 29.99
- Run get_inventory_summary to check available FBA stock
