Tap · leonting1010 — Claude Code MCP server: what it does, how to install

What Tap does

Tap connects an agent to a Chrome session that is already signed in. The agent inspects a page once and produces a .flow.json program; later runs replay that program without another LLM call. Execution can use the Chrome extension or Playwright.

The server includes tap verify, which compares a page snapshot and reports changes that may break a saved flow. Open pages and APIs can run without the extension, while --no-extension uses a separate Playwright profile. The Chrome extension is required when Tap must reuse a live signed-in session, so its cookies and login remain available to the browser action.

What it helps with

  • perform an action on a login-gated page
  • save browser steps as a .flow.json program
  • replay a flow without another LLM call
  • check a page for changes with tap verify

Example prompts for the agent

  • Open the signed-in site and perform the action I need to repeat.
  • Save this browser process as a replayable flow.
  • Run tap verify on the saved flow and show what changed.

What does Tap do?

Tap lets an agent act in a signed-in Chrome session, save the interaction as .flow.json, and replay it without another LLM call.
