Kronos — Claude Code MCP server: forecasts and setup
Kronos predicts upcoming daily candles for China A-shares. Use it when an agent needs a price-history forecast with an expected return value.
claude mcp add --env KRONOS_API_KEY=<KRONOS_API_KEY> --env KRONOS_URL=<KRONOS_URL> --env KRONOS_TIMEOUT=<KRONOS_TIMEOUT> --transport stdio kronos-mcp -- uvx kronos-mcpWhat Kronos does
Kronos wraps the Kronos K-line time-series model as an MCP server. Give it a symbol and pred_len, and it returns the next daily candles with open, high, low, close, and volume. The kronos_health tool checks service access and the API key; kronos_predict runs the forecast and also returns expected_return, based on the last predicted close versus the last real close.
The server needs a KRONOS API key in KRONOS_API_KEY; you can request one at https://hunter.agentpit.io/dev/api-keys. Claude Code starts it with uvx kronos-mcp through claude mcp add. Without KRONOS_API_KEY, the server returns an error. Each request takes 30–70 seconds, and the model reads price history only, so it does not account for news, trading halts, or earnings dates. Coverage is limited to China A-shares.
What it helps with
- forecast the next daily candles for a stock symbol
- inspect expected return from the predicted close
- check whether the service and API key work
- separate supported China A-shares from US or HK tickers
Example prompts for the agent
- Check the service and my API key with
kronos_health. - Use
kronos_predictto forecast the next 10 daily candles for600519. - Forecast 5 candles for
600519.SHand show theexpected_return.
