gflow-cli — Claude Code MCP server: what it does, how to install
Connects Google Flow to your agent for automated image and video generation using Imagen and Veo via browser automation.
claude mcp add --env GFLOW_CLI_HOME=<GFLOW_CLI_HOME> --transport stdio gflow-cli -- uvx gflow-cliWhat gflow-cli does
This server bridges Google Flow into the MCP ecosystem by driving a Playwright Chromium session. It submits prompts to Imagen for image synthesis and triggers Veo for text-to-video or image-to-video rendering. The tool also supports extending existing video clips beyond the default 8-second cutoff and tracking consistent characters across frames using prompt references.
Because Google Flow relies on browser session gates, the tool runs a persistent local browser instance signed into your personal Google account. Imagen generations do not cost anything in Flow, but Veo video generation directly consumes credits from your account balance.
A functional Google Flow login and local Playwright Chromium binaries are mandatory before starting. If Google changes web selectors during a run, execution halts immediately with a non-zero exit code to prevent wasting video credits.
What it helps with
- generate videos with Veo directly from an AI coding agent
- run batch text-to-image prompts through Imagen without the web UI
- extend generated video clips past the standard 8-second limit
- maintain facial and body character consistency across multiple generations
Example prompts for the agent
- Generate a cinematic video in Veo with a 16:9 aspect ratio from this prompt
- Create an image of a hot air balloon over Tokyo at sunrise using Imagen
- Check my remaining Veo credit balance in Google Flow

Questions about gflow-cli
How to install gflow-cli in Claude Code?
Run claude mcp add gflow-cli -- uvx gflow-cli. If you want to specify a custom home directory, use claude mcp add --env GFLOW_CLI_HOME=<GFLOW_CLI_HOME> --transport stdio gflow-cli -- uvx gflow-cli.
What does gflow-cli do?
It lets your agent control Google Flow tools like Veo and Imagen through automated browser actions. You get scripted image creation, video rendering, and character management without clicking in the UI.
