hushdrop — Claude Code MCP server: share agent artifacts
Turns a file your agent built into a password-protected link on your own domain. Handy when client work needs to leave your machine as a URL.
claude mcp add hushdrop -e BLOB_READ_WRITE_TOKEN=<BLOB_READ_WRITE_TOKEN> -- npx -y hushdrop-mcpWhat hushdrop does
hushdrop ships an MCP server plus the hush CLI. Point it at a file and you get back a link. AES-256 encryption and branding run client-side, so the server only ever holds ciphertext, and the page carries your colors and logo.
Nine MCP tools are exposed, publish_html among them. The npx hushdrop-install script registers the drops server with whichever agents it finds and puts hush on your PATH. Self-hosting needs a BLOB_READ_WRITE_TOKEN from Vercel Blob; without it the server won't start. Options include --expire 7d, --burn for a link that dies on first view, and --email-gate acme.com to restrict viewers by mail domain.
MIT licensed, no database to run. Anonymous drops need no account, though persistent links under your handle require a GitHub or magic-link login. If client files are involved, self-hosting keeps the storage yours — that's the real difference from closed services.
What it helps with
- send a client a report link on your own domain
- password-protect an HTML page an agent generated
- publish a multi-file static site from a zip
- wrap a PDF deck in a branded download page
- make a link self-destruct after one view
Example prompts for the agent
- Publish
report.htmlon my domain with a password - Share
notes.mdas a link that expires in 7 days - Upload
site.zipas a static site

Questions about hushdrop
How do I install hushdrop in Claude Code?
Run claude mcp add hushdrop -e BLOB_READ_WRITE_TOKEN=<BLOB_READ_WRITE_TOKEN> -- npx -y hushdrop-mcp. The token gives the server access to Vercel Blob.
What does hushdrop do?
It publishes files and sites as password-protected links on your domain. Encryption happens on the client, so the server stores only ciphertext.
How is hushdrop different from Stacktree?
hushdrop is open-source and self-hosted under MIT, with custom domains at no cost. Stacktree is a closed SaaS that paywalls custom domains.
