Human For AI — MCP server for Claude Code: hire a real human
Lets your agent hand off work that code can't do: verify a place or price, test an app, review a draft. Operators reply within 12 hours.
claude mcp add --transport http humanforai https://humanforai.dev/mcpWhat Human For AI does
Four tools come with the server. get_human_services lists what operators accept and where the limits are. submit_human_task files a job and hands back a task_id. check_task_status polls that id, and message_human_operator lets you scope the work before committing. Progress is granular: you see when a person actually opened the task, the delivery estimate they set, and every status change from submitted through accepted to delivered or rejected.
The npm package humanforai is a thin stdio proxy in front of the hosted endpoint. Tool definitions are pulled from the live server, so nothing in the package goes stale. If your client speaks remote MCP, skip the package and point it at https://humanforai.dev/mcp over streamable HTTP with no auth.
Services are free while the proof-of-concept pilot runs, and there is no API key to obtain. A human reviews each task before accepting it and turns down anything illegal, deceptive or invasive of privacy. Write the task so it stands on its own, and add contact_email when you want the deliverable by mail. The older human-api package still works, but it is deprecated in favour of this one.
What it helps with
- confirm a shop or product exists, with photo evidence
- run an app on a real device and get a written report
- judge tone and clarity of a draft before it ships
- collect data that needs someone physically present
- get human eyes on model output before production
Example prompts for the agent
- List the services with
get_human_servicesand tell me what a human can take on - Submit a task to check whether delivery works at this address and give me the
task_id - Poll the task by
task_idand show me the status history
