HasData Yellow Pages — Claude Code MCP server: setup guide
Remote MCP server that extracts Yellow Pages business search and place details into structured JSON. Requires a HasData API key.
claude mcp add yellowpages -e HASDATA_API_KEY=<HASDATA_API_KEY> -- npx -y @hasdata/yellowpages-mcpWhat HasData Yellow Pages does
This server connects your MCP client to public directory listings on yellowpages.com and yellowpages.ca. It provides two tools. One endpoint runs location-based business searches and returns up to 30 results per batch with ratings and contact addresses. The other retrieves full profiles from listing URLs, capturing working hours and verified services.
No local container is required. The service hosts a remote HTTP endpoint at https://mcp.hasdata.com/mcp?apis=yellowpages. Stdio-only environments connect via @hasdata/yellowpages-mcp on npm or hasdata-yellowpages-mcp on PyPI. Each successful tool call consumes 10 credits from your balance. Without a valid API key, requests will fail.
What it helps with
- extract local business contacts and ratings by keyword and city
- parse business hours and services from a Yellow Pages profile
- retrieve multiple pages of directory search results
- inspect business operational history from directory profiles
Example prompts for the agent
- Find electric contractors in Austin on Yellow Pages and sort them by review count.
- Fetch the complete listing details and opening hours for this Yellow Pages URL.
- Search for plumbers in Seattle and pull both page 2 and page 3.
