greenlake-service-catalog-mcp — Claude Code MCP server for HPE
An MCP server that lets your AI assistant read the HPE GreenLake service catalog: offers, provisions, managers and regions. Useful when you want to ask about infrastructure in plain language.
claude mcp add greenlake-service-catalog-mcp -- uvx greenlake-service-catalog-mcpWhat greenlake-service-catalog-mcp does
This server connects an assistant to the HPE GreenLake service catalog API. You can pull service offers, provisions, managers, manager-provisions and regions through it. Everything is read-only.
It runs on Python 3.10 or newer and uses uv for dependencies. Authentication is OAuth2 with your GreenLake workspace credentials: GREENLAKE_API_BASE_URL, GREENLAKE_CLIENT_ID, GREENLAKE_CLIENT_SECRET and GREENLAKE_WORKSPACE_ID. No workspace with API access means no connection to the platform.
Two tool modes are available, switched with the MCP_TOOL_MODE variable. Static mode turns every API endpoint into its own tool; dynamic mode exposes three generic ones — list_endpoints, get_endpoint_schema and invoke_dynamic_tool. The transport is plain stdio, so any MCP-compatible client can use it.
What it helps with
- browse service offers in the GreenLake catalog
- locate provisions and their managers in a workspace
- check which regions a service supports
- pull catalog data into a chat with the assistant
- review manager-provisions without opening the web console
Example prompts for the agent
- List the service offers in the GreenLake catalog
- Which regions does this service support?
- Find the provisions and their managers in my workspace
