Glide — MCP server for Claude Code: GlideOS apps and data
Wires your AI client into GlideOS so you can spin up projects, edit app databases, run workflows and publish apps without leaving the chat.
claude mcp add --transport http mcp https://mcp.glideapps.dev/mcpWhat Glide does
Glide ships an official MCP server for its GlideOS platform. Agents get tools for projects, apps, data and workflows: start a project, inspect the tables behind an app, roll a publish back, fire a workflow, or read and search project files.
The endpoint is https://mcp.glideapps.dev/mcp over Streamable HTTP. Sign-in uses OAuth 2.1 — your client opens a Glide login when it first connects, so there are no API keys to store. A Glide plan that includes the MCP server feature is required; without it the login will not go through.
Setup differs per client. Claude takes a single claude mcp add call, Cursor can install the Glide plugin from its marketplace or take a ~/.cursor/mcp.json entry, VS Code uses code --add-mcp, and Gemini CLI installs the repo as an extension. One server, packaged for several agent ecosystems.
What it helps with
- create a GlideOS project from the chat
- inspect the tables in an app database
- publish an app and roll it back
- trigger a workflow on a schedule or webhook
- read and edit project files
Example prompts for the agent
- List my Glide projects
- Create a new GlideOS project for inventory tracking
- Show me the tables in this app's database

Questions about Glide
How do I install Glide in Claude Code?
Run claude mcp add --transport http glide https://mcp.glideapps.dev/mcp. Your client will ask you to sign in to Glide on the first call.
What does Glide do?
It gives an agent access to GlideOS: projects, apps, databases, workflows and files. That covers publishing apps, managing access and domains, and running workflows.
Do I need an API key for Glide?
No. Authentication runs over OAuth 2.1 through your Glide account. You do need a Glide plan that includes the MCP server.
