Fitatu — Claude Code MCP server: what it does, setup
Connects an AI agent to Fitatu for food, weight, water, and workout entries. Useful when a chat should read or update your diary.
claude mcp add --env FITATU_SESSION=<FITATU_SESSION> --transport stdio fitatu -- uvx fitatu-apiWhat Fitatu does
Fitatu is an unofficial MCP server for the Fitatu diary. It gives an agent tools to inspect and change food entries, meals, body weight, water, and workouts. It can also read goals, summaries, and the food catalogue. FitatuTools exposes 47 JSON Schema tools with operation annotations.
The server runs over stdio through uvx fitatu-api. You need a Fitatu account and a session supplied in FITATU_SESSION; login-based access can be created with fitatu-api login. The library requires Python 3.11 or newer, plus tzdata on Windows.
This is an unofficial integration built from the Fitatu apps’ API, so API changes can break it. Automated access may conflict with Fitatu’s Terms of Service; use your own account. The server also provides podsumowanie_dnia, przeglad_tygodnia, and zaloguj_posilek.
What it helps with
- check today’s calorie intake
- log a product in a meal
- record water, weight, or a workout
- retrieve a nutrition summary
- search the Fitatu food catalogue
Example prompts for the agent
- Check how many calories I ate today in Fitatu.
- Add two eggs to my breakfast and save the entry in Fitatu.
- Record today’s water and workout in my Fitatu diary.
