Fantasy Football Manager — Claude Code MCP server for ESPN leagues
Brings an ESPN fantasy league into an AI client: reads rosters and projections, works out a legal weekly lineup, and files free-agent moves.
claude mcp add fantasy-football-manager -- uvx fantasy-football-managerWhat Fantasy Football Manager does
Several MCP servers ship in one package. One handles analysis, policy and league state; the ESPN companion covers live observation and transactions; a portfolio server rolls every configured team into a single view. Season operations go over authenticated HTTP, so no Chrome or Playwright is involved. Draft work still runs through the browser adapter.
You need an ESPN account plus a protected session file, pointed at by FFM_ESPN_CREDENTIAL_FILE. Both servers must share the same per-team state directory. The flow: espn_connect with league, team, season, phase="season", transport="http" and scoring week, then espn_sync, then recommend_lineup. Action modes are read with get_manager_config and replaced with update_manager_config, passing the config's current revision.
A recommendation or submission fails when projections are missing or player lock evidence is absent. Verified HTTP reads cover roster ownership and locks, but waiver processing, IR moves and scoring-week rollover have not been tested. Treat those as unproven before turning on automatic mode.
What it helps with
- build a legal weekly lineup from current projections
- sync an ESPN league roster into local state
- prepare an exact free-agent proposal and confirm it
- check player locks before a deadline
- track several managed teams in one dashboard
Example prompts for the agent
- Connect to my ESPN league and show the current roster
- Sync the league and suggest a legal lineup for this week
- Draft a free-agent proposal in review mode, I'll confirm it
