Easyship — MCP server for Claude Code: setup and features
Easyship lets coding agents work with shipping operations, from comparing carrier quotes to creating shipments and tracking parcels. It fits workflows that need delivery management inside an AI client.
claude mcp add --transport http mcp https://mcp.easyship.com/mcpWhat Easyship does
Easyship exposes shipping operations to AI agents through MCP. Agents can compare carrier prices, estimated delivery windows and expected taxes, then create or cancel shipments and obtain shipping labels or documents. Address checks cover US domestic and international destinations. Pickup scheduling and billing records are available through the same connection.
The server also provides shipment analytics, including destination patterns, carrier usage and delivery-status breakdowns. You can connect to the hosted MCP endpoint over HTTP or run the easyship-mcp package locally with uvx. The local setup requires Python, and API access requires an Easyship token.
Easyship supports Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf (Devin Desktop), Cline, Zed and Gemini CLI. The hosted connection avoids running the package on your own machine. There is no separate MCP test environment, so operations that spend credits, such as label purchases, incur real charges. A token with limited permissions is recommended for initial checks.
What it helps with
- Compare carrier quotes for an international parcel
- Create a shipment and purchase its shipping label
- Check a recipient address before dispatch
- Arrange a courier pickup for an existing shipment
- Review destination trends and shipment status distribution
Example prompts for the agent
- Compare delivery options for a 1.5kg parcel from Hong Kong to New York, packed in a 30×20×15 cm box.
- Track shipment
ESSG10006001and report its current status. - Find the earliest available courier pickup date for shipment
