Dooit — Claude Code MCP server: tasks, agenda and goals
Hooks your agent up to a Dooit board so it can read your agenda and goals, then add, move or close tasks for you.
claude mcp add --transport http mcp https://app.dooit.so/mcpWhat Dooit does
Dooit is a keyboard-first personal task manager. Its MCP server reaches into your board, agenda, projects and weekly, monthly and yearly goals. Reading works on any account. Writing is another story: creating, rescheduling, completing, archiving and deleting tasks needs an active subscription and is rate limited.
The tools come in groups. get_board and get_agenda supply context. Task work runs through list_tasks, get_task, create_task, update_task, set_task_done, archive_task and delete_task. Projects use create_project and update_project, goals use list_goals, create_goal and update_goal. Start with get_board — it hands back today's date in the user's timezone along with the status and project ids that every write depends on.
Auth is OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration, so there is no API key to paste. A Dooit account is still required. The server is hosted and runs as part of the app; this repository holds metadata and docs only, so there is nothing to run locally.
What it helps with
- check today's agenda without opening the app
- move an overdue task to another date
- turn a note or message into a task
- see how weekly goals are tracking
- close out and archive finished work
Example prompts for the agent
- Show me my board for today
- Add a task to call the bank tomorrow
- Push every overdue task to Monday
