Devart MCP Server for MySQL connects an AI client to a MySQL database through a server running in your environment. The client sends a natural-language request, the server turns it into a structured query, runs it through Devart dotConnect ADO.NET, and returns the result. Both data retrieval and writes are supported.
A manual build requires the .NET 8 SDK. The ADO.NET project is Devart.AI.McpServer.AdoNet.MySql.csproj; its Devart dotConnect for MySQL package is restored through NuGet during the build. Database settings live in mcpserver.json, where an ADO.NET connection uses ConnectionString and the transport can be stdio or http.
The server will not build without the .NET 8 SDK. With stdio, the AI client starts it automatically; with http, you must start the server yourself and provide HttpPort.
