deployhq-mcp-server — Claude Code MCP server: install
Connects an AI coding client to DeployHQ through MCP, so it can inspect projects, read deployment logs, and start deployments.
claude mcp add --env DEPLOYHQ_EMAIL=<DEPLOYHQ_EMAIL> --env DEPLOYHQ_API_KEY=<DEPLOYHQ_API_KEY> --env DEPLOYHQ_ACCOUNT=<DEPLOYHQ_ACCOUNT> --env LOG_LEVEL=<LOG_LEVEL> --transport stdio deployhq-mcp-server -- npx -y deployhq-mcp-serverWhat deployhq-mcp-server does
deployhq-mcp-server connects the DeployHQ API to an MCP client over stdio. An agent can list projects and project servers, inspect deployment details, read logs, and create a deployment from one commit to another for a selected server or server group.
The server also exposes account-level SSH keys, environment variables, and configuration file templates. These resources can be listed, created, updated, or deleted where the API supports it. The package runs through npx; access is supplied with DEPLOYHQ_EMAIL, DEPLOYHQ_API_KEY, and DEPLOYHQ_ACCOUNT. Without those variables, it cannot connect to DeployHQ.
What it helps with
- list DeployHQ projects and deployment status
- inspect servers configured for a project
- read logs from a failed deployment
- start a deployment between two revisions
- manage global variables and config templates
Example prompts for the agent
- List my DeployHQ projects and show their deployment status.
- Read the deployment log for project
<project>and deployment<uuid>. - Create a deployment for
<project>on<parent_identifier>from<start_revision>to<end_revision>.
