DecimalAI Skills Registry — Claude Code MCP Server: Setup Guide
MCP server connecting coding assistants to the DecimalAI registry. It searches agent skills ranked by verified benchmark lift rather than download counts.
claude mcp add registry -e DECIMAL_API_KEY=<DECIMAL_API_KEY> -- uvx decimalai-mcpWhat DecimalAI Skills Registry does
This server exposes three read-only tools: search_skills, get_skill, and get_leaderboard. Instead of relying on raw install counts, the registry evaluates agent extensions through test pass rates and measured benchmark gains over standard baseline prompts.
Running the tools returns safety scan evaluations, efficiency metrics, full SKILL.md instructions, and ready-made installation flags for Claude Code. Running the server requires Python 3.10 or newer via uvx.
No account token is mandatory. Public registry endpoints respond without credentials. Supplying DECIMAL_API_KEY is only necessary when you want responses to mark skills that your team already added.
What it helps with
- find agent tools evaluated against measured baseline metrics
- inspect safety audits and pass rates before installing a skill
- query leaderboard rankings sorted by efficiency or model score gains
- retrieve installation arguments and
SKILL.mdconfigs automatically
Example prompts for the agent
- Search DecimalAI for SQL skills that demonstrate measured benchmark gains
- Inspect the decimalai record and safety report for playwright-crawler
- Show the top skills on the DecimalAI leaderboard by efficiency
How to install DecimalAI Skills Registry
Platform CLI
claude mcp add registry -e DECIMAL_API_KEY=<DECIMAL_API_KEY> -- uvx decimalai-mcpReplace <…> with your own values. uvx runs the command named after the package; if the README names another one, use uvx --from decimalai-mcp <command>
Platform CLI
