mcp-server · decantr-ai — Claude Code MCP server: install and use
This MCP server checks AI-made UI changes against a project’s components, styles, interaction rules, and source boundaries. It also supplies context and repair tools.
claude mcp add mcp-server -- npx -y @decantr/mcp-serverWhat mcp-server does
mcp-server connects a coding agent to local UI change control. It compares the code that changed with the authority already present in the project, including production source, components, styling, tests, local rules, and available runtime evidence.
The server exposes eight tools: decantr_project, decantr_contract, decantr_context, decantr_graph, decantr_registry, decantr_verify, decantr_repair, and decantr_contract_write. They cover project context, task preparation, graph and contract data, verification, and repair. The workflow runs locally and does not replace a router, component library, test suite, editor, or coding agent.
Install it through npx with @decantr/mcp-server. Verification uses the current Git worktree. If the app selection or Git scope cannot be proven, the result is not_proven rather than a passing conclusion.
What it helps with
- check a UI diff against project-owned rules
- compare edits with production components and styles
- prepare scoped context for an agent task
- trace a finding to its source and repair target
Example prompts for the agent
- Check the current UI diff against this project’s components, styles, and local rules.
- Prepare task context for adding saved actions to the feed screen, then show the relevant source files.
- Verify the latest UI change and repair findings without replacing the project’s component library.
