What cvserver does

This remote MCP server links your development agent with real-time US equity options data. It exposes current strike chains alongside implied volatility values and risk Greeks without leaving the chat interface.

Users can query datasets with custom SQL, filter assets through a built-in screener, or pull fundamental balance metrics from FMP. No local package installation is needed. The tool runs over HTTP against https://tap.convexvalue.com/api/data/mcp. Without active internet connectivity to that remote endpoint, data retrieval fails.

What it helps with

  • pull live US options chains directly into the chat
  • inspect contract Greeks and implied volatility
  • screen equity options using custom conditions
  • run SQL queries against financial datasets
  • fetch company fundamental metrics from FMP

Example prompts for the agent

  • Retrieve the current call option chain for NVDA with implied volatility and Greeks.
  • Run a screener query to find US options contracts with high implied volatility.
  • Query the FMP fundamentals table via SQL to compare quarterly operating margins.
