Currents — Claude Code MCP server: features and setup

Currents gives coding agents access to CI test data, so they can inspect failures and flaky tests using actual run results.

What Currents does

The server connects an agent to Currents projects, CI runs, and individual tests. Agents can investigate test errors and instability, then inspect error patterns and performance measurements across a test suite.

Its tools cover project actions: agents can list, create, edit, enable, disable, or archive them. Other tools show which tests a rule affected and provide execution details, including branches and commits. The Cursor setup includes CURRENTS_API_KEY; replace its sample value with your Currents key before connecting.

What it helps with

  • find failed tests in CI results
  • identify tests affected by quarantine rules
  • inspect a test's execution history
  • manage Currents project actions from an agent

Example prompts for the agent

  • Check the latest CI run in Currents and explain which tests failed.
  • Show executions of tests affected by quarantine rules during this date range.
  • Disable the Currents project action with this ID.
