cucumberstudio — Claude Code MCP server: features and setup
Connect an AI assistant to Cucumber Studio projects, test scenarios, reusable steps, and run data. Useful when you want to inspect testing information through MCP.
claude mcp add cucumberstudio -- npx -y cucumberstudio-mcpWhat cucumberstudio does
The server gives an assistant access to Cucumber Studio data. It can list projects, browse scenarios or search them by tag, retrieve reusable step definitions, and show test runs, executions, and build information. It provides test data access; it does not run the tests.
Choose STDIO or HTTP transport. You can launch it with npx cucumberstudio-mcp, but it needs CUCUMBERSTUDIO_ACCESS_TOKEN, CUCUMBERSTUDIO_CLIENT_ID, and CUCUMBERSTUDIO_UID to connect to the Cucumber Studio API. Without those credentials, the server cannot access the account data. MCP_TRANSPORT selects the transport; its default is stdio.
What it helps with
- retrieve Cucumber Studio project details
- search test scenarios by tag
- look up reusable step definitions
- inspect test runs and executions
- check build information
Example prompts for the agent
- Find Cucumber Studio scenarios tagged
smoke. - List my Cucumber Studio projects and show details for the relevant project.
- Show recent test runs and their build information.
