Concord MCP lets coding agents exchange messages and share work state through one MCP server. They can claim project areas, detect overlapping edits before changing files, record decisions, and hand work to another agent with supporting context.
Running concord setup creates a local .concord/ workspace, registers the server in supported client configurations, and adds agent instructions. Existing settings are merged rather than replaced, so setup can be run again. Use concord adapters status to inspect reachable sessions.
The npm installation requires Node.js. macOS and Linux users can choose a standalone build with its own Node runtime instead. Live message delivery depends on the receiving harness and its current session state.
