Call Copilot — Claude Code MCP server: install and use
Lets an AI client search and read meeting transcripts stored on your machine. Use it to find past discussions and ask questions about a session.
claude mcp add call-copilot -- uvx call-copilotWhat Call Copilot does
Call Copilot exposes locally saved meeting transcripts to an MCP client over stdio. The server is read-only and does not make network requests. When it answers a question, it includes the relevant session ID so you can trace the result back to a recording.
The companion rec command records audio, performs local transcription, and writes Markdown files. Creating those recordings requires macOS 14.2 or later; on older macOS versions, rec will refuse to run. Claude Code can launch the MCP server with uvx, and the setup does not require an API key.
What it helps with
- search past meetings by transcript content
- ask questions about a recorded discussion
- trace an answer to its session ID
- read local meeting notes from Claude Code
Example prompts for the agent
- Search the local transcripts for the meeting where database migration was discussed.
- Compare the decisions in the two latest sessions and include their session IDs.
- What did the team say about the authentication issue? Support the answer with the transcript.
